According to the Information Centre Ukraine 2012, UEFA will give priority for the purchase of match passes to the residents of Ukraine and Poland. The procedure provides for a ticketing innovation, according to which the first two thousand tickets will be put aside for the host cities’ residents.

The news was announced at a seminar on the distribution of passes for championship matches by the UEFA Operations Director Martin Kallen. Citizens of Ukraine and Poland are guaranteed 32,000 and 30,000 tickets respectively, taking into account the distribution of matches, 16 and 15, between the countries.

All tickets must be paid for by credit card. Ticket payments must be made in euros. However, citizens of the host countries will have the possibility to pay for tickets in their own currency and via domestic bank transfer.

UEFA expects great interest in the tournament on the part of the fans of the two host countries. Ukrainians and Poles are expected to purchase 60 to 70% of all tickets.
