Martin Kallen – lord of transport

On 27 October, as we approach UEFA EURO 2012, UEFA COO Martin Kallen will pay another visit to FC Shakhtar’s home arena.

Together with his colleagues from the Stadiums Management Department, he will take decisions on the public transport and venue operation during the tournament (on match days and non-match days), confirm the corresponding routes, access routes to the arena and the transport perimeter, besides reviewing some public safety and security management issues. 

The workshop session will be attended by the Donbass Arena CEO Alexandr Atamanenko, the stadium’s Facilities Director Vadim Gun’ko, the Chief Security Officer Sergei Burgela, the City Mayor  Alexandr Luk’yanchenko and the Tournament Director Markiyan Lubkivskiy, representatives of the Ministries of the Interior and Emergencies.

Donetsk will be the last of the four host cities to be visited by the UEFA delegation this time. From 24–26 October, the UEFA team will hold similar meetings in L’viv, Kyiv and Kharkiv.
