Europe is happy with Donetsk

On 22 November, guests from Europe paid another visit to the Donbass Arena and other UEFA EURO 2012 facilities in Donetsk.  Transport and mobility experts Greet Smit, Rob Jeuring, Piter Hilferink, Ricardo Poppeliers met their colleagues from Ukreuroinfraproekt within the framework of Government to Government project under the auspices of the embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

“In the course of their visit, the guests attended the major facilities involved in the tournament”, they explained us at the  office for EURO 2012 preparations of Donetsk City Council. Those were Donetsk international airport, Donbass Arena stadium, the official Fan Zone, southern parking and the camping park. They also closely reviewed the stadium’s traffic security perimeter.

Following the inspection results and the progress report issued by the city authorities, the visitors were satisfied with the level of Donetsk’s preparedness for hosting the tournament.
