The CNN International football experts - who visited the EURO 2012 host cities in the company of the country’s Vice Prime Minister Borys Kolesnikov – ranked Donetsk as number one in terms of its readiness for playing host to the approaching tournament. The Donbass Arena played the key role in deciding the winner. The above was announced by the Independent News Bureau, quoting journalist Pedro Pinto.
“Donetsk is number one,” Pedro Pinto stated. “And it can be explained by the mere fact that the Donbass Arena was inaugurated long ago as compared to the rest of the stadiums, with Olimpiyskyi being second, followed by the arenas in Lviv and Kharkiv.”
At the same time, the foreign visitors mentioned that all the cities experience some minor imperfections, while they owe their development mostly to the forthcoming EURO 2012. According to them, major attention should be focused on upgrading public transport.
