From 15 May 2012 on, everyone will be able to travel from Donetsk and the other host cities to Kyiv and back faster owing to introduction of Hyundai high speed train. The tickets will be put for online sale on May 1st. According to the Ukraine 2012 news centre, the above was stated by the Vice Prime Minister & the Minister for Infrastructure of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov in London recently.

“The distance between Kyiv and Donetsk is 740km, and it will take you just five hours and a half to cover it,” Mr Kolesnikov stressed. “A one-way trip time from Kyiv to Lviv will approximate 4.5 hours, while it will take 3.5 hours to reach Kharkiv from the capital.”

Besides, flight schedule will be altered to increase flight frequency. For instance, Kyiv-Donetsk flight will depart every half-hour.
