
The first stage of the air-terminal complex of the Donetsk airport has been completed. According to the Ukraine 2012 Information Centre, testing of the facility will start as early as in the beginning of February. The major object operation services have already started training in the new terminal building. For this purpose, some premises were handed over for training classes. German experts from the ORAT company will start airport testing and basic personnel training in early February 2012, using completely assembled and adjusted equipment.
Works in the main areas of the terminal have been completed. Works in decoration of technological, office and auxiliary premises are at the final stage. All engineering equipment securing air terminal operation has been assembled. All ventilation, air conditioning, heating and water supplying systems are operable. Works with electricity supply power networks and low-power structured cable networks systems are at the final stage.
Besides this, the full scope of the basic baggage system technological equipment assembling works has been completed. All 24 lifts and 18 moving ramps in the terminal building have been assembled and are in operable condition after successful fulfilment of installation and start-up works. They are being handed over to airport’s operation services.
